Well, once we found it was being demolished the next day, we decided to call everyone out who had come through for air ride installs at the shop in the past year. Here's Matt's Mk6 Golf R on full AccuAir eLevel with Airlift struts, Stage 2+, VMR Wheels. In the background, you see Chris' 8V A3, same game but stock power and Rotiform INDs.
Honestly, people make this out to be worse than it is. Empty the water trap. Put air-system specific antifreeze in the lines. Don't vent it inside the car. Don't let that vent clog though either. In practice, I did none of this, and it was only on a day where the temps were holding at -2*F that I finally had an issue. Manifold was sticking due to ice buildup. Started the car, it wouldn't raise. I just let it run with the heat on full blast (seats folded down for good airflow to air setup), and ba, airs up fine....
Of course in the process of noodling Dan's RS5 through the park for photos, we find Joe nearby. Dan's AWE Track exhaust was what prompted Joe to bring out his Milltek Non-Res, and thus a whole fuckload of high revving V8 was heard throughout the region that day. Good.
